Gallery An actual walk-through of The Opposite of Invisible is coming soon . . . as soon as I can get down to Pike Place Market with my trusty camera in hand . . . But I can't wait to show you where my mind was when I wrote this book, so for now, here’s a look at my city. I live in a neighborhood called Fremont. Some people say Fremont's gotten boring lately. But I think these sights prove there's still plenty of spice in the 'hood! This big sign sits at Fremont's major intersection. My favorite part is cut off – "Noogie: Top of Head." I don't know why it's there, but I like this rocket. Dinosaurs! Made of wire! Being covered by ivy! Here's our drawbridge. Here's a shot that shows that the draw bridge functions. Fremont's big event is the summer solstice. On that weekend, there's a huge fair and a parade . . . with naked bicyclists. These guys were asking people to staple dollar bills to their skin. Look, it worked! Some cool graffiti that would surely inspire my character Jewel to snap a photo. What's that lurking in the background? It's the . . . . . . Fremont Troll, where some major drama goes down in the book. Here's the troll with some different graffiti. It tends to change.
